WEG is the winner of Valor 1000 award in the Mechanics sector

This Wednesday, September 29, WEG received the Valor 1000 Award in the Mechanics category offered by Valor Econômico financial newspaper. This is the eighth time that the company is awarded in its sector.
Conducted by Valor Econômico in partnership with Serasa Experian and EAESP/FGV-SP Finance Studies Center, the survey takes into account net revenues as a parameter for the ranking and follows current performance measurement criteria, such as Ebitda and indebtedness management, in addition to other accounting and financial performance indicators.
For Harry Schmelzer Jr., CEO of WEG, 2020 was a very challenging year. However, our resilience without losing our essence was one of the main factors for the Company´s financial health and stability. “I am proud, on behalf of our employees, that we had the ability to react quickly, serving the market and at the same time offering our support during the pandemic period. Learning in China, where WEG owns four factories, allowed us to anticipate actions to minimize the pandemic, including the adoption of safety protocols for the 33,400 employees and the reorganization of our industrial base for the production of medical ventilators and alcohol gel”, says Mr. Schmelzer Jr.
The Directory includes the ranking of the thousand largest companies in Brazil, highlighting the winning companies in each of the 26 sectors analyzed.

WEG´s Chairman of the Board is honored with the Entrepreneur of the Year Brazil Award

The leader in auditing and consulting services, Ernst & Young (EY) announced the winners of the 23rd edition of the Entrepreneur of the Year Brazil Program, an online event held last Tuesday, April 27, 2021, in partnership with Forbes.
During the award ceremony, representatives of five categories were announced. WEG´s Chairman of the Board, Décio da Silva, was the winner in the Family Enterprise category, representing successful family companies in the market they do business, with emphasis to the management generating positive impact on the business and on the community.
Receiving this nomination makes all of the members of the Silva, Werninghaus and Voigt families very honored and proud. We want to dedicate this award to the three founders of the Company, Mr. Eggon, Mr. Werner and Mr. Geraldo. WEG receives Whirlpool “Supplier of the Year” Award

WEG just received the “SUPPLIER OF THE YEAR” Award in the categories “Raw Material” and “MPGH / C&G – Motors, Pumps, Glasses, Heats, Cooling & Gas” from Whirlpool Brasil, one of the largest manufacturers of kitchen and laundry appliances in the country. WEG was highlighted among the main suppliers of Whirpool in industrial paints and electric motors for home appliances.
This Award is a recognition of WEG’s commitment to adding value to Whirlpool products and customers, specially in terms of innovation, quality, customer service and sustainability.
